Hubert Marot’s discovery of an exposed roll of reversal film was the impetus for the Crue project. Taking up this content, Marot carried out a series of optical and chemical experiments in his darkroom. The result is an artist’s book printed by Matthieu Duringer on the Heidelberg GTO offset press in his Paris studio. It is published in a limited edition of 100 copies, produced using two passes of silver ink on black pulp-dyed paper, with each copy accompanied by an original darkroom print on baryta paper, signed and numbered by the artist.
