Philippe Durand reduces his representational space even further. By adopting an in-studio photographic practice (images are produced on a light table, again superimposed on the shot and filtered "RGB"), he is no longer concerned with a relationship with the exterior and the world around him, but rather with an inner exploration. The disappearance of even a blurred photographic subject brings him closer to painting, leaving only flat colour tints and geometric compositions.
